Hi! I'm Andréa Marchese, an Italian-American home baker from New York City. I've been baking since I was a kid, and I'd say it is in my genes. Many of my family members are or were professional bakers, and we even had an Italian bakery in the family for a while.

I went to school for mathematics and became a math professor, a career that I loved. While I was teaching, most of my baking was with protein powder and lower carb ingredients. I very much enjoyed creating recipes, and I set up proteincakery.com to share those high protein recipes. For a time, I even made protein treats in a local bakery (the pic above) and had my own product line of protein baking mixes (the pic below).

But more recently I've been enjoying baking more traditional recipes (hello sugar and flour!) and I've created this blog, Marchese Bakes, to share the deliciousness with you.
In my free time, I love traveling, photography, and outdoor adventures.
